What Is a Jigsaw Puzzle?

Jigsaw puzzles were invented in England in the 1760s. The earliest puzzles were made by mounting maps onto wooden boards and cutting them into pieces, making them valuable educational tools, especially for geography.
The word “jigsaw” comes from the English term for a scroll saw, which was used to cut the wooden boards.
During the 1800s, jigsaw puzzles grew in popularity. Advances in production shifted materials from wood to paper, reducing costs and making puzzles accessible to many households.
Educational value remained important, with puzzles depicting historical events and famous artworks.
By the 1900s, jigsaw puzzles became a form of mass entertainment, with many manufacturers producing a wide variety of themes.
In modern times (2000s), digital technology has enabled online jigsaw puzzles, and highly detailed, artistic designs are now appreciated as works of art.

What Is 75-Ball Bingo?

Bingo originated in Italy in the 19th century and later evolved in the United States into what is now known as 75-ball bingo.
In American-style bingo, cards are arranged in a 5×5 grid. In Japan, bingo typically refers to the 75-ball version as well.
Each column corresponds to a specific number range:
B column: 1–15
I column: 16–30
N column: 31–45 (with a free space in the center)
G column: 46–60
O column: 61–75
Five numbers (four in the center column) are randomly selected from each group of 15.
As a result, approximately one out of every three draws is likely to match a number on a card, allowing the game to progress at a lively pace.
This wide variety of combinations also makes it unlikely for players to receive identical cards.
In Europe, 90-ball bingo is more common, featuring different rules and gameplay progression.
